Meet Lateva Woolfork

Lateva, AKA The All Purpose Woman, is a Detroit girl living in an Indianapolis world.

Lateva Woolfork is a wife and mom of 6 girls. She is a Multi-Passionate entrepreneur, Founder of Socially Coordinated (SoCo PR), specializing in brand strategy, community engagement, and search engine Optimization (SEO). 

She is additionally the Co-Founder of Create. Connect. Collab. a community that provides creatives, leaders, and entrepreneurs immersive professional development and  accountability.  She is a speaker, and a lover of ministry, helping people become purposely powerful by enriching their businesses and personal brands.

Meet Terri Wada

Terri Wada is CEO and Co-founder of Collabo XD, a service design company located in Indianapolis, Indiana. In her role, she partners with leaders seeking to build organizational or community resilience through deeply understanding lived human experiences and people-centered solutions. 

As both an educator and practitioner in the field of design thinking and human-centered design, Terri has built her company and career around understanding people in a way that goes deeper than numbers by leveraging design research and applied ethnography to co-create better futures with people rather than for them.

To date, she’s led experience improvement initiatives including journey mapping the Indiana’s largest healthcare network, engaging hundreds of residents in a city-wide challenge to curb youth violence, and capturing work experiences of international employees from around the globe. Terri’s work and research has gained both national and international recognition through publications, presentations, and a personal invitation to share and facilitate her approach to design thinking at the Pentagon with the U.S. Army.

“Local Search Strategies to Make Your Business Stand Out” – Abby Reckard

In December, Abby Reckard, Director of Digital Strategy at Well Done Marketing, showed Smartups members how to use local search to grow their business.

Abby goes over why search has turned become hyperlocal and how important a mobile strategy is.  She goes over how to understand the SEO landscape in your local area and also tips and tricks on improving your SEO.

In November, Shad Tidler, Sales at Lushin, taught Smartups members how to improve their sales process and close more deals.

This video is a clip of his presentation that describes the process buyers go through in making large purchases. He tells the story of his sister buying a car to demonstrate the buyer’s process.
